Fernando Flores Tavares. Fernando is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Siena and a research consultant at UNICEF Innocenti. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Joint Doctoral Program of the Universities of Florence, Pisa, and Siena, with a visiting period at the University of Göttingen. He also holds an MSc in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a BSc in Economics from the University of São Paulo. Besides UNICEF, he has also served as a consultant for the World Bank. His research interests include multidimensional poverty, inequality, social indicators, social policies, and applied causal inference.
